This page explains how to ask Marcado to delete your personal data. It complements the rights described in our Privacy Policy and applies to both Marcado users — personal trainers and studios who subscribe — and the clients whose phone numbers are stored in the service.

1. How to request deletion

Send an email to [email protected] from the address tied to your account or, if you are a client, from any address you can reach us at. Use the subject "Data deletion request" and tell us the phone number, email or business name associated with the data, so we can identify it.

You do not need to fill in any form or create an account. We may ask one verification question to confirm you are the data subject before proceeding.

2. What we delete

We remove all identifiable personal data from our active systems: profile, contacts, sessions, messages exchanged via WhatsApp, billing identifiers and any other data linked to you.

The conversations archive — already anonymised, with phone numbers, names and other identifying details stripped — is no longer personal data under GDPR and is retained indefinitely to improve the service.

3. When it happens

We delete from active systems within 30 days of receiving the request and confirm completion by email to the address that sent it.

4. What we cannot delete

Where law requires longer retention we keep the minimum strictly necessary. In practice this means invoicing data, which Portuguese tax law requires us to keep for 10 years.

5. Facebook and WhatsApp data

Marcado uses the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta). Messages routed through Meta to and from your number are subject to the same deletion process described above: a request to [email protected] removes the identifiable copy in our systems within 30 days.

6. Complaints

For any question about this process, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority at cnpd.pt.
